Member Deployment TRacking

It would be great to have the ability to record and track member deployments within the system. For the past couple of years, we have maintained an Excel spreadsheet to track members who have been allocated to, rostered onto, or deployed as part of a strike team. This includes members deployed on one of our own appliances, as well as members assigned as crew on another brigade’s appliance. The information we currently track includes: Incident Name Strike Team Number Deployment Date Deployment End Date Members Deployed Appliance (where applicable to our brigade) Deployment Type (Primary Crew / Relief Crew) Status (Planned, Deployed, Cancelled, Standby – Not Deployed) Notes This information has proven very useful when following up with CFA to ensure members’ turnout records are accurate and up to date. Our Catchment team has specifically asked us to maintain these records, so having a dedicated feature would help streamline this process and reduce our reliance on manually maintained spreadsheets. Rather than limiting the functionality to strike teams, perhaps this could be introduced as a broader Deployment feature. This would allow brigades to record and track a range of deployment types, including: - Strike team deployments - Interstate and overseas deployments - Extended or prolonged incident deployments outside a formal strike team - Other operational deployments where tracking member participation is required Ideally, the feature would allow multiple members to be associated with a deployment, with the ability to record the relevant deployment details, update the status as plans change, and retain a history of members’ participation. This would provide brigades with a centralised record of member deployments, make it easier to verify attendance and turnout records, and provide Catchment with better visibility of deployment activity when required.
