You can upload and embed PDF documents and Images in library articles with or without body text currently.
Just select the PDF or Image icons in the editor and select a file to upload.
These will be rendered in-line for users.
We can not support Word or other formats at this time as users would require additional apps to read them, PDF is most suitable for accessibility across devices.
